As it turns out, getting back here was not as easy as I thought. I'm blaming it on my amazing guests that I just spent 2 weeks with on a tour of the province. One of whom I have been waiting 16 years for a promised visit from. It was great, I'm glad it's over, the burning desire to have this person visit is surprisingly and completely gone. yay.
Today, I have taken pictures of our coal chute entrance and sent them to a structural engineer. We have to re-brick part of our brick foundation and I definitely want to make sure we get it done correctly.
Also in the works...B is constructing a movable compost bin to put behind our amazing raspberry patch...I am correcting the sagging back door by means of epoxy, wooden tees, and a home improvement book that I'm counting on to be correct. Home ownership is still awesome.
Having so many desires fulfilled in one year is a little overwhelming and oddly depressing somehow. Who knew?
